This course covers the assessment and intervention skills found to be effective in counseling those with chronic pain, a chronic illness or a terminal prognosis. Specific focus is on how to offer assistance for the emotional, social, behavioral, and cognitive aspects of an ongoing pain problem or a chronic/terminal illness.
