2 credits In this course students further develop skills needed to locate, critically evaluate, and translate biomedical evidence-based literature into clinical practice using core competencies learned in the Fundamentals of Research Design. The course allows students to better understand the treatments their patients receive and the new biomedical research relevant to their profession. Practical application of biomedical decision-making is emphasized, with students using their patient experiences to guide their clinically answerable questions on diagnosis and therapeutics. Prerequisite: BC5142 or BC5141
