This course will focus on studying the Biblical books of Psalms, Proverbs and Job as literature, as well as for the moral and ethical lessons which can be derived from them. It will cover the canonization of each book, its historical background, discussions about its authorship, and varied interpretations. It will help acquaint students with Biblical use of poetic forms such as metaphors and types of parallelism.
