A music survey following the theme "unity in diversity" found in music around the world. The course moves from continent to continent examining music serving the same common end; accompaniment to ceremony and ritual, aid to work and routine, and an expression of universal unchanging human emotions. Prior musical experience is not necessary. Prerequisite: Proficiency in reading, grammar skills.
