Students will explore topics in earth sciences: geology, oceanography, meteorology, astronomy. Earthquakes, volcanoes, glaciers, streams and floods, landslides, tides, coastal features, weather and climate, planets and stars. Integrated information about the relationship between humans and the physical environment. SCIE 103L must be taken concurrently or a later quarter to satisfy the requirement for a science course with a lab. For students with little or no college-science background.
