Disassembly, inspection, and reassembly of the gasoline internal combustion engineHands-on applications including emphasis on disassembly, cleaning and inspection of cylinder block and cylinder head components; instruction in the use of precision measurement tools to measure wear of cylinders and other major components of the engineThis instruction will include grinding valves, checking guides, and installing rod, main and cam bearings, timing gears and chain, pistons and ringsThis course is structured to provide competency-based application of NATEF automotive repair tasks in a working shop environment and will provide students with the background and knowledge to take the ASE certification examinations.
