FA This course introduces students to the historical, cultural and intellectual foundations of the field of psychology on the cusp of the 21st century. In particular, students explore the history of "madness,"the philosophy of science, the effects of culture and gender, and ways in which psychological thought has been translated into application. In a broader sense, we come to understand how a diversity of explorations into the human endeavor contributes to what is called "Psychology."
