Study of the techniques and procedures used by police officers on patrol. Includes controlled substance identification, handling abnormal persons, traffic collision investigation, notetaking and report writing, vehicle operation, traffic direction, crowd control, and jail operations. This is a TCLEOSEapproved sequencing course to satisfy requirements to sit for the Basic Peace Officer licensure exam in addition to obtaining an Associate's or Bachelor'sDegree with approval of the department chair.
