This course is designed to enhance student understanding of the physical and human elements that have shaped the present physical environments and cultures of the world. Emphasis is placed on scientific principles and explanations underlying the distribution of tectonic activities and landforms, elements and factors of local and world climates, population, economic activities, cultures, urban landscapes, and political systems.
