Provides the articulating student the opportunity to examine the role of the professional nurse; application of a systematic problem solving process and critical thinking skills which includes a focus on the adult population in selected settings; and competency in knowledge, judgment, skill, and professional values within a legal/ethical framework. Concepts of society, client/family, health and nursing roles are incorporated. Concurrent clinical enrollment is required in RNSG 1262. (3 lecture and 2 lab hours per week) Prerequisites: Admission into the ADN Program, RNSG 1215, BIOL 2401, BIOL 2402, BIOL 2420, PSYC 2301, PSYC 2314, ENGL 1301, and PHED (activity).
