A basic study of various materials used in the metals industry and the chemical, physical, and mechanical properties of various metals. Emphasis on manufacturing processes, including casting, forming, and matching. Identify various metals such as ferrous and non ferrous metals; describe the different manufacturing processes; identify by code and color the different types of metals; perform a test necessary to determine the kind off metal used; and determine whether it is casting or forging.
