An intermediate type of health professions workbased instruction that helps students synthesize new knowledge, apply previous knowledge, or gain experience managing the workflow. Practical experience is simultaneously related to theory. Close and/or direct supervision is provided by the clinical professional (faculty or preceptor), generally in a clinical setting. Specific detailed learning objectives are developed for each course by the faculty. Clinical education is an unpaid learning experience. Concurrent theory enrollment is required in RNSG 1441.
