This course is an interdisciplinary, multimedia study of the cultural, political, philosophical, and aesthetic factors critical to the formulation of values and the historical development of the individual and of society. This semester focuses on works from the Renaissance, the Reformation and counter-Reformation, the Baroque world, the age of Reason and Neoclassicism, the Romantic era, and the twentieth century.
