Open to all students. No military commitment is required. Overviews leadership fundamentals such as setting direction, problem-solving, listening, presenting briefs, providing feedback, and using effective writing skills. Students explore dimensions of leadership values, attributes, skills, and actions in the context of practical, hands-on, and interactive exercises. The key objective of the second semester is to explore in more detail the Army's leadership philosophy and learn fundamental military concepts. There is a mandatory lab for this course.
