Three hours credit. A detailed study of the knowledge and skills necessary to reach competence in the assessment and management of patients with traumatic injuries. Integrate the pathophysiological principles and assessment findings to formulate a field impression; and implement the treatment plan for the trauma patient. Curriculum based on U.S. department of Transportation National Standard Curriculum.32 classroom hours and 32 laboratory hours. Prerequisites: EMT Basic and Current Provider CPR card, EMSP 1160, EMSP 1501. Corequisites:, EMSP 1261, EMSP 1356, EMSP 1438 and EMSP 2160.
