Three hours credit. A pre-service course providing an overview of schools and classrooms from the perspectives of language, gender, socioeconomic status, ethnic and academic diversity. Emphasis is given to factors that facilitate learning in diverse populations. Early field observations of P-12 special populations will be required involving 16 hours of lab work which must be in special populations in P-12 schools. Three hours lecture and weekly lab hours. Prerequisite: EDUC 1301. Lab fee.
