Three hours credit. A continuation of MUSI 2311. Altered chords, augmented sixth chords, Neapolitan function, altered dominants, diminished seventh chords, mediant relations, advanced modulatory practices, and the rudimentary elements of form. Required of all music majors in the second semester of the sophomore year. Prerequisite: MUSI 2311 with a minimum grade of C and concurrent or previous enrollment in MUSI 2117. Three lecture hours each week.
