Four hours credit. Layout procedures from thumbnails and roughs to final comprehensive and printing; emphasis on design principles for the creation of advertising and publishing materials, and techniques for efficient planning and documenting projects. Student will use industry standard page layout software to create printable advertising and business materials; coordinate color and use the principles and elements of design; demonstrate individual and/or team communication through conceptual action planning; choose substrate and output options. Two lecture and four lab hours each week. Prerequisite: ARTC 1413. Lab fee.
