A course designed for students whose first language is not English. This course's objective is to help students develop basic skills in listening comprehension, speaking, reading and writing English to a level sufficient to communicate with other students at the same level, as well as with native speakers of English in day-to-day situations such as simple business transactions, phone calls, job interviews, etc. Attention given to grammar as required. Three hours lecture/lab each week. (This course cannot be used toward credit for an associate degree and is not intended for transfer to a senior college.)
