Five hours credit. Includes all the skill necessary to provide emergency medical care at a basic life support level with an ambulance service or other specialized services. Demonstrate a working knowledge of clinical information and related topics relevant to the practice of pre-hospital emergency medical care of the EMT-Basic level; demonstrate the ability to competently perform all applicable skills; and exhibit attitudes and behavior consistent with the ethics and professionalism expected of the EMT-Basic. 144 classroom and laboratory hours. Prerequisite is a current Health care provider CPR card. Corequisites is EMSP 1160.
