Provides the basic course student a foundation in small group leadership through classroom instruction and outdoor adventure scenarios. Team building and small group dynamics, focused on producing an effective team, are learned and put into practical application by each student. Enhances personal leadership and management techniques. The course covers a broad spectrum to include: basic cadet skills and orientation, rappelling and rope skills, small group team building, basic survival skills, and a class community service project. Students desiring credit for Leadership Laboratory should enroll in MSC 207. Meets in the fall. Two lecture hours each week.
