Three hours credit. Introduction to the science of pharmacology with emphasis on the actions, interactions, adverse effects, and nursing implications of each drug classification. Topics include the roles and responsibilities of the nurse in safe administration of medications within a legal/ethical framework. Forty-eight classroom hours. Prerequisites: completion of all nursing prerequisite courses, RNSG 1205, 1215, 1309. 1462, and BIOL 2420 or by admission of nursing programs coordinator for non-nursing majors
