Four hours credit. Operation and repair of drum/disc type brake systems. Emphasis is on safe use of modern equipment. Topics include brake theory, diagnosis, and repair of power, manual, and anti-lock brake systems, and parking brakes. May be taught manufacturer specific. Utilizing appropriate safety measures, the student will diagnose and repair hydraulic systems, drum/disc brake systems, parking brakes, and anti-lock brake systems. Prerequisites or concurrent enrollment in: MATH 0310 and REDG 0310. Two lecture and six lab hours each week. Lab fee.
