Four hours credit. A basic study of HVAC and refrigeration controls; troubleshooting of control components; emphasis on use of wiring diagrams to analyze high and low voltage circuits; a review of Ohm's law as applied to air conditioning controls and circuits. The student will test, repair, and/or replace HVAC-related electrical components; and read, draw and interpret high and low voltage control circuits. Three lecture and three lab hours each week. Lab fee.
