Four hours credit. A course in map drafting in which emphasis is given to plotting of surveyor's field notes, plotting elevations, contour drawings, plan and profiles, and laying out traverses. The student will demonstrate an understanding of the transit, level, level rod, tape and associated surveying equipment and be able to identify and use topographic symbols and exhibit the ability to produce topographical drawings. Prerequisite: DFTG 1409. Two lecture and four lab hours each week. Lab fee.
