Four hours credit. An introduction to the basic principles of diesel engines and systems. The student will describe the history of diesel engines and diesel systems and their evolution; demonstrate knowledge of the basic principles of diesel systems and engines and how they function; and utilize precision instruments to diagnose and repair basic systems and engines. Prerequisites or concurrent enrollment in: MATH 0310 and REDG 0310. Two lecture and six lab hours each week. Lab fee.
