Three hours credit. A study of equipment reliability and maintainability to improve the efficiency of operations including utilizing the latest equipment and techniques to implement effective prevention and predictive maintenance programs. The student will understand the methodology and employ the principles of a reliability and maintainability program. The student will develop control criteria for a reliability and maintenance program; implement a predictive and/or preventative maintenance program; and utilize test diagnostic and measurement equipment for data collection and analysis. Three lecture hours each week.
