Three hours credit. Study of the history and philosophy of modern criminal law, including the structure, the definition, the statutes and leading case law. Examination of legal problems which confront the police officer with particular emphasis on the legal controls over police investigative and enforcement techniques; arrest, search, and seizure; identification procedures; statements and confessions.
