Three hours credit. A course in electronics covering digital systems. Emphasis will be on application and troubleshooting digital systems using counters, registers, code converters, multiplexers, analog-to-digital to-analog circuits, and large-scale integrated circuits. The student will analyze and troubleshoot digital systems utilizing methods described in digital fundamentals. The student will evaluate the operation of digital systems while operating in correct and fault mode using various test instruments; describe the difference between a digital system and an analog system; and draw a simple block diagram of a digital computer system. Two lecture and three lab hours each week. Prerequisite: CETT 1325 and TECM 1341. Lab fee.
