Two hours credit. An introduction to statistical process control, used by machinists and machine operators. Analysis of data collected from work pieces. The student will identify the basic tools required for data collection; list the most common charts used to measure variations; demonstrate the uses of measuring tools used for data collection; analyze the variances of data gathered; distinguish different charts or various applications and calculate random sampling by using the proper formulas. Prerequisites or concurrent enrollment in: MATH 0310 and REDG 0310. Two hours lecture each week.
