Four hours credit. Production of detail and assembly drawings of machines, threads, gears, cams, tolerances and limit dimensioning, surface finishes, and precision drawings. The student will interpret terms used in tolerancing, determine dimensions of two mating parts, draw spur and bevel gears, and draw a set of detail and assembly drawings. The student will define terms; determine interference and clearances; specify types of thread forms; interpret thread notes; and draw spur, bevel, and cam profile. Two lecture and four lab hours each week. Prerequisite: DFTG 1433. Lab fee.
