Three hours credit. Alternative dispute resolution. Emphasizes the role of the paralegal in mediation. Include differences between mediation and arbitration, the process of mediation, and dispute resolution techniques. The student will compare and contrast various methods of alternative dispute resolution; apply negotiation and mediation techniques; and analyze ethical issues relating to alternative dispute resolution. Prerequisite or concurrent enrollment in LGLA 1307. Three lecture hours each week.
