Prerequisite: READ 0302 (R2); ENGL 0302 (W3); MATH 0303 (M2), and admission in the Associate Degree Nursing Program, or Administrative Approval; and BIOL 2401 or VNSG 1420 Introduction to the science of pharmacology with emphasis on the actions, interactions, adverse effects, and nursing implications of each drug classification. Topics include the roles and responsibilities of the nurse in safe administration of medications within a legal/ethical framework.
