3 hours This is the senior course in the American Politics concentration. It provides an analytic survey of the major institutions of the American political system. It is designed to focus on the theoretical and empirical work of many of the major political scientists in the American politics subfield. The objective of this course is to familiarize students with the research of these political scientists and to promote intensive reading, writing, and research in this field.
