3 hours Prerequisites: Admittance into Exercise Science and PHED 4450 or permission from the instructor. A professional preparation course designed to provide the student with an understanding of how exercise has become an integral part of medicine by assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of persons with coronary disease. The course will focus on the pathophysiology of the disease, its detection, medical management, and exercise therapy.
