1 hour Prerequisite: permission of department head. Course designed to prepare the student for employment as a research assistant or engineer upon completion of the B.S. degree. It will also orient the student toward the research work required for an advanced degree. It will consist of literature searches and laboratory work. It may be related to the research of a departmental faculty member. The students will be required to report their work by oral presentations and written reports. Three hours per week for each hour of credit.
