Prerequisite: Licensure as a registered nurse in Georgia or Florida or permission of the instructor. This elective course focuses on exploration of issues concerning the dying process, grief, loss and bereavement. Concepts related to psychosocial needs of clients and caregivers are addressed incorporating diversity of culture, ethnicity, gender, and age. Legal and ethical issues related to professional practice are emphasized.
