This course will familiarize students with the terms, concepts, and principles of the major counseling theories, individual counseling practices and interventions, behavior and personal-ity theories, and human growth and potential. Students will begin to develop their own individual philosophy of and ap-proach to counseling and understand how their philosophy and approach impacts their work with their clients. Students will learn individual counseling skills and interventions throughout role playing, video taping, and hands-on experience.
