Prerequisites: READ 0302 (R2); ENGL 0302 (W3); MATH 0303 (M2); and admission to the Surgical Technology program. Corequisites: SRGT 1405, SRGT 1509, SRGT 1160, and HPRS 2200 Topics address current events, skills, knowledges, and/or attitudes and behaviors pertinent to the technology or occupation and relevant to the professional development of the student. Study of basic gross human anatomy applicable to the study of Surgical Technology. Special emphasis focuses on disease process and clinical circumstances. Specific surgical procedures and those interactions that are uniquely applicable to the role of the Surgical Technician are incorporated into the course content.
