Via case studies, this course is designed to demonstrate the interplay between law and management and to assist today's manager in avoiding the dangerous and costly pitfalls of employment law by providing an overview of federal legislation barring employment discrimination with emphasis on the Civil Rights of 1866, the Equal Pay Act of 1963, Title VII of the Civil Right Act of 1963, the Age Discrimination Act of 1967, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993.
