The course offers a study of the role of money and banking as well as monetary and fiscal policies in the domestic and international economies. The course will examine the role of commercial banks and other financial intermediaries in the process of money creation, the impact of Federal Reserve and monetary policy; and the macroeconomic relationships among money, interest rates, inflation and gross domestic product.
