An introductory course examining the organization of the human body and mechanisms for maintaining homeostasis. Topics include basic metabolism and skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, and immune systems. Emphasis is placed on the integration of systems as they relate to normal health. Lecture three (3) hours per week. Laboratory three (3) hours per week. Prerequisite: Biology 141 and 142.
