A study of the systems life cycle, methods of analysis, design considerations and implementation procedures. The student will be instructed in the capabilities of card, magnetic tape, direct access and real time computing systems. Exercises and case studies will be used to reinforce the material presented. Prerequisite: CS 232 or 233. Lecture 3 hours per week. Laboratory 2 hours per week.
