An exploration of professional, ethical, diversity, and assessment issues that arise in art therapy practice. This course is designed to supplement required courses in Professional Ethics, Multicultural Counseling, and Assessment. Students consider the implications of including art-making in assessment and treatment, in diverse therapeutic environments, with diverse clients. Issues are identified, discussed, and debated with reference to current professional codes of practice. Prerequisites: PY590 and FT540. Fall semester. 3 credits. Fee.
