The effects of structure and bonding on chemical properties and the application of periodic relationships to selected families of elements. The laboratory will reinforce topics presented in lecture such as synthesis, stereochemistry, and spectroscopy of inorganic compounds. Three hours of lecture and four hours of lab per week.
