In these changing times of primary care-based health care, it is essential that women be viewed from a holistic perspective. This migration into a primary care-based system gives women the motivation to be better educated and to have high expectations regarding their care. This course will explore traditional reproductive issues concerning women, as well as selected common medical and psychosocio-developmental-political problems and issues, accompanied by guidelines for disease prevention and health promotion. The content focuses on the adult nonpregnant female, although health issues throughout a woman’s lifespan are discussed. Prerequisite: PBSN/BSN major
