4 CREDIT HOURS This course is an introduction to the study of narrative fiction, with particular emphasis on the short story and novel. Works discussed will represent a broad range of cultural perspectives and historical eras. Students will gain interpretive skills by developing a critical vocabulary and exploring the literature using a variety of analytical methods and philosophies. Prerequisite: ENG103
