(formerly RPK 215) Presents camping skills, including destination selection, route planning, gear selection and preparation (individual and group), trip safety, packing techniques (from car camping to "going light"), food selection, cooking techniques, and shelter selection. Presents land use ethic of Leave No Trace, permitting requirements and outdoor skills. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 2 hours per week.
