Prerequisite: LCS121 Session Cycle: Spring Yearly Cycle: Even Year This course examines primary sources - historical documents and novels - that have contributed to the formation of United States national culture. A selective history of American writing will provide the context for reading a set of classic American novels. Authors may include Herman Melville, Mark Twain, Willa Cather, and William Faulkner.
