Session Cycle: Spring Yearly Cycle: Annual This course is designed for students who have completed ECSL CH206 or who demonstrate an equivalent level of proficiency. The focus of this course will be the development of oral proficiency and listening skills for a variety of culturally appropriate topics in both formal and informal contexts. Working with edited and authentic audio and video materials in Chinese, students will be introduced to culturally and socially important differences between informal (baihua) and formal (shumianyu) registers in spoken Chinese.
